Re-inspections / conditional inspections

If you know there are asbestos containing materials in your premises, you have a duty to make sure they are re-inspected regularly, even if the material has previously appeared to be stable and in a place where it is unlikely to be disturbed.

HSE Guidance HSG227 says that asbestos containing material should be checked every 6 to 12 months, depending on the level of risk.

4see specialists will work with you to establish the frequency required and carry out your re-inspections in a way which keeps disruption to a minimum. We’ll look at the condition of the material and give you an up to date risk assessment to record in your Asbestos Management Plan.
